Lockdown

Lockdown

When the Covid Pandemic forced all of us to remain home, I was blessed to have this view out of the rear windows of my home. This Flowering Cherry Tree was one of the oldest of its type in the city. I was grateful that it provided me subject matter to photograph while on lockdown.

The annual explosion of blossoms in April served as a poignant reminder to me that life continues, and beauty can be found even in the midst of challenging circumstances.

As we move forward from the Pandemic, it is important to hold onto the moments of beauty and resilience that nature offers us. They serve as reminders that, no matter the circumstances, there is always something to appreciate and find solace in.
